Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST) hosted a delightful Staff Appreciation Dinner, bringing together faculty, staff, and administrators for a memorable evening of celebration.

The event, filled with fun, food, and heartwarming conversations, highlighted the importance of the university's staff and professors in creating a thriving academic community.

The dinner was hosted by WUST's Chancellor and chairman Engineer Abubokor Hanip.

President Dr. Hasan Karabark along with vice presidents, school directors, faculty and staff members from across departments joined the party.

It was a celebration not just of the university's successes but also of the people who make them possible.

Chancellor Engr Abubokor Hanip took time to chat with faculty members, individual staff members to learn more about their personal well being.

President Dr. Hasan Karaburk, along with Vice Presidents Dr. Zefer Pirim and Dr. Shane Cho, also made rounds, ensuring that the evening was a success for all involved.

Chancellor Hanip emphasized the importance of teachers in shaping student success, noting,"Behind every successful student is the success of the teacher."

He also shared exciting plans for the university's future, such as the expansion of the hands on practice labs to benefit all IT and business faculty students.

"I’m just a phone call away, an email away," the Chancellor assured, promising to provide any necessary resources to support skill-based education at WUST.

In his speech, President Dr. Burk reflected on the university's achievements over the past year and expressed a commitment to progress, saying, "Whatever achievement, its credit belongs to everyone; the responsibility of failures is mine."

His humbleness and dedication to the university's growth resonated deeply with the attendees.

One of the highlights of the evening was the White Elephant Show, a gift exchange where university staff exchanged mystery gifts with one another. The event sparked laughter and applause as each gift was unveiled. The atmosphere was filled with joy as colleagues enjoyed the playful surprises, making it a perfect blend of fun and festivity.

The evening also featured a delectable buffet, where attendees had the chance to indulge in their favorite dishes.

Conversations flowed freely, with staff members chatting casually about everything from work to personal interests.

The evening created an opportunity for colleagues to bond outside of the usual work environment, adding an extra dimension of enjoyment to the night.
As the event came to a close, Chancellor Abubokor Hanip and President Hasan Karaburk left the event with a shared promise: the Staff Appreciation Dinner would be an annual tradition.
