
WUST Hosts President Of National Defense University Of Saudi Arabia For Strategic Dialogue And Partnership Exploration
Alexandria, Virginia – Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST) proudly welcomed Major General Mohammed Jadoua Alruwaili, President of the National Defense University of Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, as a guest of honor. Accompanying General Alruwaili were his Chief of Staff and Colonel Khaled Mareey Alanazi, the Defense Attaché from the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington, D.C.
The visit commenced with a high-level roundtable discussion at 11:30 a.m. in the university’s conference room, where WUST’s academic and administrative leadership—including President Dr. Hasan K. Burk, Chancellor Abubokor Hanip, and Chief Financial Officer Farhana Hanip—engaged in productive dialogue with the Saudi delegation.
During the meeting, WUST shared its educational mission and innovative curriculum, highlighting its unique blend of academic instruction and industry-based experiential learning. The conversation explored potential collaborations between WUST and the National Defense University of Saudi Arabia, aiming to support student development through international academic partnerships.
Following the formal discussion, the distinguished guests were given a comprehensive tour of the campus by WUST leadership. They also visited the auditorium, where participants from the National Defense University of Saudi Arabia were actively attending professional development seminars as part of an ongoing institutional partnership.
Major General Alruwaili personally interacted with seminar attendees and staff, expressing his appreciation for the university’s efforts.
