Educational Exchange: Mongolian Students Learn U.S. College Application Strategies At WUST
During the first half of July, an ensemble of Mongolian students and chaperones participated in an educational cultural exchange program at WUST.
Topics covered included how to achieve admission to WUST and other US universities and colleges by establishing a solid academic basis and maintaining high marks throughout high school and beyond. The scholarly guests evaluated U.S. standardized tests, such as the SAT or ACT, and learned about the benefits of including STEM-related course experiences on college applications.
The group discussed the importance of demonstrating English language skills and preparing for the TOEFL or IELTS exam, as well as how enrolling in AP, IB, or A-level courses at an early age might help the admissions process, and challenge the aspiring student academically.
Highlights of the discussion addressed how to use Generative AI responsibly, as well as the critical roles AI and Robotics may play in US university achievement and information technology careers.
Finally, the group received an introduction to university application essay answers, job letters, and personal statements, with an emphasis on the need for continuous education through organizations like PeopleNTech https://www.peoplentech.com/.
