Celebrating The WUST Class Of 2025
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, we proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2025. The ceremony marked the culmination of years of hard work, study, and perseverance, and the beginning of new journeys filled with promise and potential.
Family, Friends, faculty, and staff gathered to honor our graduates, cheering them on as they crossed the stage and officially joined our distinguished alumni community. The day was filled with joy, laughter, emotional farewells, and the timeless tradition of tossing caps high into the air, a collective expression of triumph and hope for the future.
WUST was honored to welcome an extraordinary group of esteemed speakers who shared their wisdom, experience, and encouragement with our graduates: Engr. Abubokor Hanip (WUST Chairman & CEO), Mrs. Farhana Hanip (WUST CFO), Dr. Hasan K. Burk (WUST President), Hon. Soma Sultana Syed (NYC Civil Court Judge), Hon. Saddam Azlan Salim (VA State Senator), Dr. Henry C. Eickelberg (Treasurer, Loudoun County), Dr. Anis Rahman (President, Applied Research & Photonics), Mr. Siddique Sheikh (WUST Board Member), and Mr. Mohammad Mahdee-uz Zaman (WUST Board Member).
Their presence and inspiring words reminded us of the power of education to transform lives, open doors, and strengthen communities. From reflections on overcoming obstacles to calls for leadership and innovation, our speakers truly helped make this year’s commencement memorable and meaningful.
We extend our deepest gratitude to these distinguished guests for taking the time to celebrate with us and for their unwavering commitment to education and service.
Most importantly, we want to recognize and congratulate our Class of 2025 graduates. Your dedication, resilience, and pursuit of knowledge have brought you to this moment. You have persevered through challenges and demonstrated the curiosity, courage, and compassion that define our WUST community. We are so proud of everything you have accomplished and confident that you will continue to make a positive impact wherever your paths may lead.
