IGlobal University Announces Its First Shark Tank Competition

 

Dateline – Vienna, VA, December 14, 2021 – Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST), a career college headquartered in Vienna, VA, will be unveiling its first-ever Shark Tank Competition for students and alumni of the school. The contest opens January 17, 2022 and ends on April 30, 2022, when finalists present their project to a panel of judges. Students and alumni will compete for cash prizes totaling $2,250.00.

 

To be eligible, participants need to meet the following criteria:

 

  1. As of January 17, 2022, be currently enrolled as a student at IGlobal University; or

  2. Has graduated from IGlobal University within the past 5 years.

 

WUST President, Dr. Hasan Karaburk, stated, “In preparing our students for employment, we take great pride in providing a forum for students and alumni alike to share their entrepreneurial vision and spirit. It’s our way of giving back to the community.” Dr. Mark Robinson. The Director for the School of Business, stated, “With the increased popularity of cable TV shows like Shark Tank, Silicon Valley, Dragons’ Den, and Planet of the Apps, we want to provide a way for our students and alumni to demonstrate their real-world knowledge of entrepreneurship.”
